Who says that ICT's must be in your child's education?

In relation to the Australian Teaching Standards it’s clearly evident that lesson plans should be including appropriate and purposeful ICT’s within the classroom’s teaching and learning experiences. The ICT’s used in the classrooms will; engage students in their learning by using a range of ICT resources, expand on curriculum learning opportunities; ICT’s provide resources where students can go back to old concepts and practice them, expose students to the most recent and updated ICTs society has to offer as they explore them in a safe, responsible and ethical environment.

What impacts does it have on our students if we don't use ICT's?

The United Kingdom released a report in 2012, the “Decoding Learning.” The report states that it doesn’t matter how much money schools decide to spend on supplying students with a number of the most recent technologies, the issue schools and teachers face is whether they can integrate these technologies into their pedagogy of teaching correctly. As Lloyd (2005) states; “it’s not the tool, it’s how you use it that counts.”

Therefore if your argument is based on the fact that students won’t use the provided technologies correctly, the next page will show you how ICTs will be incorporated in my teaching to engage and enhance students learning process in the classroom…
